Define Objectives, Subordinate and Entry Skills

Based on the knowledge of your learners and the instructional goal you've defined, you will elaborate on how the goal and goal steps can be achieved through implementing the subordinate and entry skills for the instructional materials. Use the worksheet to complete the assignment. 

1. Define subordinate skills

Instructional Goal: The learner will be able to stay focused during class by completing assignments before their due date and display competence in the learning objects in an interview format.

1.0 - Engage in pre-class material - 1.1 Students watch the assigned videos and readings before the class. 1.2 Teachers are aware of which students should be in attendance and their learning needs.

2.0 Attitude adjustments during class time - 2.1 Students are active in the video class call.  2.2 Teachers are readily accessible to review content for the students.

3.0 Organizational Skills - 3.1 Students finish school work on time. 3.2 Students file system is organized in a professional manner. 3.3 Teachers ask prepared with questions for the class and initiate conversations about class subjects

2. Define entry skills

Verbal skills needed in order to be confident in being able to ask questions and follow instructions.

Intellectual skills needed in order to solve problems and focus on assignments

3. After completing the subordinate and entry skills, check with following instruments: 

  1. Rubric for Evaluating Subordinate and Entry Skills (p.88) 

  2. Make changes as necessary. 

4. After completing steps 1-3, include the instructional goal, objectives, and subordinate skills in a table.
