Writing Performance Objectives


This assignment builds on previous work pertaining to defining instructional goal, objectives, and subordinate skills. Writing performance objectives represents a transitional stage in instructional design from defining instructional content to developing instructional materials. The assignment requirements are as follows:


  1. The performance objectives should include instructional condition with which students will be able to complete the unit of instruction successfully

  2. The performance objectives should include the criteria with which the students’ performance will be accurately measured when they complete the unit of instruction

  3. The performance objectives should distinctly indicate the behaviors that students will demonstrate during their completion of the unit of instruction.

  4. Use Table 1 for your assignment. On the left include the instructional goal, objectives and subordinate skills. On the right include the performance goal, objectives and subordinate skills with conditions.
